Functions, which you use to encapsulate common code, are a valuable development tool. This session looks at how you can write functions in SQL Server and then explores the performance differences of using functions. About the Speaker
Simon Sabin is the principal consultant for SQLKnowHow, a company specializing in SQL Server consulting and training. He has worked with SQL Server since 1998, focusing on reliable, high-performance systems, and has particular expertise in search, distributed architectures, business intelligence, application development, and making Web sites and applications run faster through scale-out technologies and database performance tuning.
