2009 Elections for the PASS 2010-2011 Board of Directors

Matt Morollo

My career has been dedicated to providing best of breed content to IT and App Dev professionals, helping them learn and enhance their careers in whatever discipline they have selected.  “All media” has been my focus and outlet for supporting these communities.

The team at 1105 Media’s ECG has supported audiences with every aspect of media including Face-to-Face, Online, Print, Virtual Events and custom media.  In addition we have supported the community with 100’s of webcasts and have a Library of white papers with 85,000 registered members.   Our top vendors are also key providers of SQL based technologies and the team has worked hard in developing these partnership and the businesses.  In turn, the edit staff and contributors are some of the most proficient in SQL.

The challenge is to keep up with the pace of the changing landscape and deliver the best audiences and content with integrity and enthusiasm.

Clearly PASS has a model of providing excellence in terms of audience quality, and content quality in addition to having to adapt to this ever changing media landscape.  The team at PASS has faced many of the same issues as traditional B2B media companies.  As someone who has exclusively been an IT Media-focused professional and involved with every aspect of the business, my hope is to have a voice at the PASS BOD table, and assist with the organizations’ evolution as a world class community driven-media organization focused around SQL.

Why PASS?   SQL is the most dynamic relational database language that affects all aspects of the datacenter and will continue to be a key driver in the growth of almost every aspect of the IT and Data revolution.   SQL is, and will remain a key focus of the media portfolio within 1105’s ECG hence the synergy.
