Exceptional Lineup of SQL Server & BI Experts Will Deliver Series of 24 Back-to-Back Webcasts

CHICAGO, IL – April 6, 2010 – Catch up on your sleep while you can. The Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) is bringing an exceptional lineup of SQL Server and business intelligence (BI) experts directly to your computer on May 19 for the free, nonstop 24 Hours of PASS: Celebrating SQL Server 2008 R2.

In a series of 24 one-hour webcasts, some of the most knowledgeable and top-rated speakers in the industry will take an in-depth look at the hottest SQL Server topics, with a special focus on SQL Server 2008 R2’s BI and data management features. The speaker roster features SQL Server MVPs and community and Microsoft experts from around the world, including Microsoft BI master Donald Farmer, Rushabh Mehta, Brent Ozar, and others fresh from their presentations at PASS European Conference.

“We have an excellent speaker lineup and a wonderful mix of sessions designed to deliver deep R2 guidance as well as core SQL Server, BI, and professional development information that’s valuable no matter what release you’re on,” says PASS Board member Thomas LaRock, who attended all 24 sessions during the inaugural 24 Hours of PASS event and is organizing the May 24 Hours of PASS program.  “PASS is a global community, and the unique format of 24 Hours of PASS enables a lot of interaction between people who are physically located around the world. It’s very energizing, and I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about SQL Server to attend as many sessions as possible.”

In addition to extensive coverage of SQL Server 2008 R2, the event sessions—organized into DBA, Development, BI, and Professional Development tracks—will also explore Integration Services and PowerShell, Dynamic Management Objects, Filtered Indexes and Sparce Columns, SQL Server security, database design fundamentals and development patterns, performance tuning, and more. Each session will also feature a live Q&A segment.

Co-sponsored by Dell and Microsoft, the LiveMeeting webcasts will begin at 12:00 GMT (8am ET in the US) on May 19.
