PASS Announces New Board Members
Moran, Peschka Join Board and LaRock Returns for a New Term
CHICAGO, IL – October 21, 2009 – The Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) today announced its new board members for the 2010/2011 term. Brian Moran, Managing Partner for Solid Quality Mentors, and Jeremiah Peschka, PASS Group and Chapter Leader, will be joining the PASS Board of Directors, while Thomas LaRock of ING Investment Management continues his board service for a new term. Newly elected board members will begin serving their term on January 1, 2010.
The PASS Board is comprised of three elected executives, elected members-at-large, and four founding partners. The role of the PASS Board is to engage Microsoft product teams, developers, technical fellows, MVPs, and others to help PASS develop programs, educational content, and speakers and to provide a conduit of user feedback to Microsoft on product feature sets. Microsoft and CA, PASS founding partner members, each contribute one or two senior marketing managers to the PASS Board of Directors.
“My personal congratulations go to the new board members,” said PASS President Wayne Snyder. “PASS exists to serve the SQL Server community and help us all connect, share, and learn. And dedicated volunteers such as these new board members donate their time and efforts to ensure that PASS serves the community in the best way possible. To the new board members I say: Bring your best ideas to the table—you’re about to begin a new journey, and we’re glad you’ve joined us.”
