New PASS Executive Committee Approved  

Board of Directors Appoints Rushabh Mehta, Bill Graziano and Rick Heiges for 2010-2011 Term


SEATTLE, WA – November 2, 2009 – The Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) today announced its new Executive Committee for the 2010/2011 term. Rushabh Mehta, Managing Director at Solid Quality Mentors, becomes President. Bill Graziano, owner of scaleSQL Consulting, takes on the Executive Vice President, Finance, role. Rick Heiges, Sr. Solutions Consultant with Scalability Experts, joins as Vice President, Marketing. The new PASS Executive Committee will begin serving its term on January 1, 2010.

Current PASS President, Wayne Snyder, will move into the advisory role of Immediate Past Present, replacing Kevin Kline, who is leaving after a decade on the Board. Kline was a member of the original PASS Board of Directors.

“Kevin’s dedication to PASS, love of the SQL Server community, and wise, thoughtful guidance over the past 10 years has been an inspiration to us all,” said current Board President Wayne Snyder. “And we look forward to the vision, leadership, and fresh ideas of the new Executive Committee as PASS moves into its next decade of growth and service.”

Rushabh Mehta most recently served as Executive Vice President, Finance, for PASS, establishing a new level of transparency into all PASS financials. He also oversaw the creation of the new www.sqlpass.org website, launched in 2008. Mehta is a Mentor for Solid Quality Mentors' global Business Intelligence Division and the Managing Director for Solid Quality India. He is also a SQL Server MVP and a frequent conference speaker.

An active member of PASS since 2001, Bill Graziano has been responsible for all PASS marketing functions during his most recent term. He has been instrumental in increasing the quality, size and scope of the PASS Summit 2008 and 2009 conferences. Graziano co-founded SQLTeam.com, a web site for SQL Server developers and database administrators. He is also a SQL Server MVP and the owner of scaleSQL Consulting.

As Director of Special Projects during his most recent assignment with the PASS Board of Directors, Rick Heiges spearheaded and ran the inaugural, and very successful, 24 Hours of PASS virtual event that took place in September 2009. Heiges is a Sr. Solutions Consultant with Scalability Experts, a SQL Server MVP, an active blogger, and frequent speaker at user groups, conferences, labs, and road shows around the world.
