Women In Technology SIG

Mission
The Women in Technology Special Interest Group (WIT SIG) seeks to provide a forum for discussion of issues pertinent to women working in technology and opportunities for women within PASS to meet and network.

Origins
In 2003 the first Women in Technology panel discussion was held at the PASS Community Summit. Since that inaugural panel, the WIT event has been a highlight of the Summit, with captivating speakers and lively discussion on topics relating to women in the field of technology. Participants at these panel discussions were eager to continue networking and learning from each other which led to the launch of the WIT SIG.

Activities
SIG members organize the annual Women In Technology Luncheon and Panel Discussion at the PASS Community Summit. The 2008 panel takes place in Seattle WA on Thursday, November 20, 2008.

The WIT SIG maintains this site for members to share experiences and learn from each other. Volunteers write articles on issues facing women in IT and conduct interviews with successful high tech women. Click here for our latest WIT Interview Spotlight with Sharon Dooley.
