Hello Candidates, The sad part of this election is that 4 of them will not make it. If you don't get elected, what will you do ?

Sri
With 7 of use running and just the 3 seats available, those remaining 4 will then have to consider how else they can support PASS in deliver on its mission, I can't speak for any of the other potential 6 candidates

In all honesty if I was not elected, my PASSion would be just as strong, I'd really like to see how I would be able to serve PASS in delivering on our goals and objectives

I would still be wanting to help achieve on those specific objectives I made in my election application, not being a BoD member does not mean I want to stop progressing on these goals and ultimately make being a PASS member a privilege and rewarding experience

Sri,

I agree with Neil. In the event that I am not elected, I will continue be just as passionate about PASS and the SQL Community. One does not have to be on the Board of Directors to make s huge impact to the SQL PASS community. There are so many great volunteer opportunities at the local, regional, and global levels.

I would continue working in my local SQL PASS and WIT communities in Arizona which are looking to expand more in 2014, possibly into multiple user group and multiple SQL Saturdays on the West Side of Phoenix and in Tucson. I would continue volunteering to help make the VCs more global reaching. Lastly, I would continue working with the Summit and BAC program teams on organizing, coordinating, and delivering the awesome programs that the community has come to expect and depend on. In the end for all of the candidates, we will continue to Connect, Share, and Learn!

Hi Sri,

For 15 years I've been volunteering for the community without being on the PASS board.
Why should anything change?

If not elected, I will keep speaking at SQL Saturdays, user groups, VC, PASS Summit, and SQL Bits. I will continue to write and publish free articles and maintain free tools like Qure Analyzer (http://www.dbsophic.com/qure-analyzer.html) for the community. I will continue to organize PASS tracks like the DBA/DEV track i'm organizing for the Silicone Valley Code Camp. I will offer my help to the elected board to assist in any task that will support PASS mission.

Thank you,

Ami Levin

Hi Sri,

What will I do if I dont get elected? I suppose I have a bit of history with this after last years election. I would do the same thing this year as I did last year and continue doing the things for the community that I did before the election. After last years election, I took a major piece of my tactical Board work (building better Chapter tools) with me and continued doing it. While I want to contribute to PASS at a leadership level I see no reason to change my other volunteering at this point if a second term on the Board doesnt work out.

More information about me and my platform can be found on my site

Hi Sri,

It seems to be a common theme that all of us will do exactly what we are doing now if we are not elected. We will all still present sessions, write papers, blogs, record webcasts etc. All of this year's candidates are passionate about the community. We all want to see it succeed, it's bigger than any one of us.

Yes pride may be hurt, but we have all done fantastically well to get as far as we have done. Hopefully this year we will have inspired more people to take an active part in the election, maybe even inspire someone to run who will be a future president - who knows.

The point is we are here to serve and will do so in any way that we can.

Regards,
Richard Douglas
