Meet Your 2013 NomCom

Congratulations to Erin Stellato, Ryan Adams, and Tamera Clark!

These three community representatives join NomCom Chair Rushabh Mehta and Board of Directors representative Sri Sridharan on the committee to manage this year's PASS Board of Directors general election. All three NomCom applicants met the criteria for being part of the committee, therefore no election was required.

What Is the NomCom?

The NomCom administers the election process for the annual PASS Board of Directors election.

The primary role of the NomCom is to measure each candidate against a set of criteria set by the Board of Directors. The NomCom evaluates the answers to a questionnaire returned by each Board applicant. Additionally, the NomCom as a group interviews each Board applicant who has passed the initial application process. The NomCom ranks the applicants and presents a list of recommended candidates to the Board of Directors, which then approves the final slate.

Thanks to these community representatives for volunteering their time and efforts, and watch the Elections page for the latest updates.

Erin Stellato

Erin Stellato is a frequent community speaker and former leader of the PASS Performance Virtual Chapter. If you meet her at a user group meeting, SQLSaturday, or PASS Summit, you’ll quickly realize that she cares about the SQL Server community. Presenting and sharing what she’s learned is one way she gives back; she also enjoys contributing behind the scenes to grow the community. Through Erin’s work with SQLSaturday events and VCs, she’s learned a lot about PASS’s internal processes, working with PASS volunteers and Board members to resolve any challenges that have arisen. She is excited about serving on the NomCom and using her insights about the roles and responsibilities of Board members to help guide the elections process and move the organization forward.

Ryan Adams
Ryan Adams, in his second term on the North Texas SQL Server User Group board of directors, has been active at the local and regional PASS levels is looking forward to helping shape the organization as a member of the NomCom. He is the president of the PASS Performance Virtual Chapter, previously serving on the VC’s board, and has been a PASS Regional Mentor for the South Central Region for almost 2 years. He was on the core organizing committee for SQLRally Dallas and all four Dallas SQLSaturdays (plus a fifth one coming soon) and has served on the Summit 2011 Program Committee. Ryan has spoken at many SQLSaturdays, SQLRally, and SQLCruise and is presenting at PASS Summit 2013, 24HOP 2013, and Dev Connections 2013.
Tamera Clark   Tamera Clark, a database engineer in Nashville, TN, believes working with SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies is a lifestyle – not just a job. For most of the decade she’s worked in IT, she’s spent the bulk of her time in the trenches, taking on responsibilities far outside the scope of her job description. Around 2005, in the early stages of her SQL Server career, she discovered PASS and the SQL Server community. Once comfortable in her new skin, Tamera began paying it forward. She volunteers at every opportunity, including serving as co-leader of the Nashville PASS Chapter and as PASS Regional Mentor for the Mid-Atlantic Region, working with Women in Technology (WIT), and lending a hand or presenting at SQLSaturday events across the US.
