Introduction to Service Broker
Service Broker is an asynchronous messaging protocol used within SQL Server to pass data between database objects or instances. It's guaranteed delivery, and loosely coupled architecture provides a unique capability to the DBA or developer. In this talk I will demonstrate a simple Service Broker implementation while discussing each of the components involved.
Matt Eddinger
Matt Eddinger has over 15 years of professional experience in IT, but his love of computers started at the age of five when his father brought home a TRS-80. He currently works for Microsoft Consulting Services, where he specializes in SQL Server and SharePoint engagements. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Shepherd University, a Master’s Degree from Mountain State University, and dozens of technical certifications to include Microsoft Certified Trainer. He resides in Martinsburg, WV, USA, when he is not on the road (which is a lot).
