PASS Events Highlight the Value of Community
Well another 24 Hours of PASS event
has come and gone. At this point I am starting to view each of them as a parent
would view a child; I don't have a favorite and I love each of them in a unique
way. However, there is something that is common to each event and that is
Community.
I have been involved with PASS since 2004 when I attended the
PASS Summit in Orlando. Back then we did not have events such as SQL Saturdays,
SQLRally, or even a 24 Hours of PASS. The Community has come a long way over the
years and we are connected to each other even more now than ever before. We
share stories easily, ask questions of each other frequently, and lean on each
other daily.
The thing I most love about being part of
PASS is the Community. The people that I interact with at PASS events are
wonderful and caring. Whether virtual or in-person, PASS events underline the
value of Community and togetherness. I am also fortunate to serve on the PASS
Board of Directors, where feel I am able to move our Community forward by
helping to champion events such as the latest 24 Hours of PASS and upcoming PASS
SQLRally.
