PASS DBA Virtual Chapter
On April 25th, 2007, the PASS DBA
Special Interest Group (SIG) held its first Live Meeting Event. We were the
first of the SIGs to host such an event and, four years later, the SIGs have
morphed into Virtual Chapters but our mission has not changed. We continue to
provide a forum for open discussion and education on issues that face DBAs.
We hold two monthly Live Meeting events
every second Wednesday at noon MT and the fourth Wednesday at noon ET.
Recordings of our meetings are available for download shortly after the event
and are located on our web site:
http://dba.sqlpass.org.
Our speakers have included Microsoft
personnel, MVPs, and other industry experts and we are eager to help new
speakers gain experience as well. If you’ve got a DBA-related presentation, whether it’s left over from a SQL Saturday or a user group
meeting, consider presenting it at a DBA VC live meeting. Please contact
Sharon Dooley if you’re interested.
We are thankful to have Idera as a sponsor; it makes it possible
for us to have raffles at most of our events. We are also grateful for our
dedicated volunteers: Julie Bloomquist, Alex Buttery and Mike Clark.
Instrumental in our growth was former volunteer Greg Larsen who resigned in
January to devote time to his regional mentor responsibility.
We have upcoming events on April 13th and
27th.
Find out more.
We hope to “see” you at a DBA VC event in the near future!
