Ewan Fairweather
SQLCAT Program Manager, Microsoft
Ewan Fairweather, a 6-year Microsoft veteran, works on large-scale OLTP SQL Server applications as a program manager in the Business Platform Division’s SQL Server Customer Advisory Team (SQLCAT). Previously, he spent 3 years with Microsoft UK on the Premier Field Engineering team, where he helped enterprise customers maintain and optimize their BizTalk applications, working on some of the world's largest BizTalk deployments.
Ewan is a lead author on “Applied Architecture Patterns on the Microsoft Platform,” coauthored “Professional BizTalk Server 2006,” and has written many whitepapers. Before joining Microsoft, he delivered advanced routing and networking courses as a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI). He holds a bachelor's degree in Computing with Management from the University of Leeds, blogs at http://blogs.msdn.com/ewanf, and is fond of Jiu Jitsu.
