So it's your first year at PASS Summit and you're not sure what to expect? Don't worry! We've taken the hard work out of conference prep and designed an orientation program to help you get the most out of the training and networking opportunities in store for you.
Here's what you need to know about before, during and after PASS Summit:
In the next few months...
If you haven't already, you'll soon be receiving an orientation guide full of tips and tricks on the location, the people and what to see and do. Or you can read it here!
PASS was built by the SQL Server community over the last 15 years and has become instrumental in the careers of those involved. There are more than 100,000 professionals involved from all over the world. Your experience with PASS doesn't end after the conference. PASS is more than an annual event, it is an inspired and passionate community you can turn to for education, training, networking and friendship. We have the best and brightest SQL experts on the globe. This community of SQL Server professionals network and learn throughout the year at local and virtual chapters, SQL Saturdays and other regional events. You are now a part of this community as well. Take advantage of it! The events offered throughout the year are free to you as a PASS member and are made possible by the many volunteers in our community.
With your orientation guide we'll send you information on how to join a Local Chapter including the contact information for the Regional Mentor in your area. If there isn't a Chapter in your area (yet) our friendly Community Evangelists are there to help as always! Local Chapters are a great way to get involved in the PASS Community year-round with monthly meetings including training and networking opportunities. Join a Chapter meeting before PASS Summit and you'll have instant networks to tap into when you get onsite.
The PASS Community is full of friendly Summit experts who will be hosting webinars pre-event to share their knowledge - they are always happy to answer your specific questions too! Watch the first webinar with Denny Cherry, where he discusses what to know about Seattle, just in time for Summit - watch it here.
