The new Utility Control Point feature of SQL Server 2008 R2 provides capability to monitor and manage multiple instances of SQL Server, especially useful for consolidated database environments. This session provides opportunity to review the deployment requirements and process for enrolling instances to a central control point. The session includes how to gather performance data to identify over-utilised instances and how to configure global monitoring policies.
