Sharing - A New Paradigm in Reporting on the Microsoft Platform
Rushabh Mehta (Solid Quality Mentors)
The release of SQL Server 2008 R2 introduced new features for sharing datasets, report components and also ATOM feeds. These features open up new frontiers in self-service reporting and have the potential to transform the role of IT from building reports to building parts that empower users to be more self-sufficient.
In this session, we will look at the different "sharable" features and how they work, we will look at the end-user story for reporting against this shared library and then review some best practices and any potential pitfalls for shared reporting on the new Microsoft platform.
