Since I've seen one coordinated every year I figured I'd start the thread for y'all. For those not familiar the photowalk is basically a group of shutterbugs get together during Summit and walk around taking in the sights!

I'm not a shutterbug, but I'd definitely be interested in seeing the "tour" later.

Hi David, are you on Twitter? If so, you might want to try #photowalk.

If not, I'll see if I can find out for you!

David, are you arriving Sunday? If so then you'll be in prime position to get walking with the crowd on Monday.

I'm going to be writing a review of the Summit for the website G2Unit.com (G2 = Gamers & Geeks). G2Unit.com is a new site recently launched by a friend of mine. I'm helping him get it started by writing reviews. In short, this isn't something that I'm being paid to do.

I'm a lousy photographer with a cheap camera, but good photos are essential to posting a good review. Since you are all photophiles and will be attending the Summit as well, I thought I'd appeal to you. Would any of you be interested and willing to be a contributor to the review and provide electronic copies of the photos that you take at the event for use in the review?

Thanks either way!! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there!!

This sounds cool!

I'd suggest contacting Pat Wright directly (@SqlAsylum). I'll also make a note to tweet something about this in the next few days.

Good luck!

p.s. Once the review's done and published, let us know at PASS HQ (@sqlpass | johannes.bez@sqlpass.org) and we'll see if we can feature it.

Just wondering if there will be any group going later in the afternoon on Monday? My flight doesn't get there until noon.

From Pat's blog post it doesn't look like it. Seems the last group leaves at 9:00am. I'll post here if I find out anything else.

Sorry I haven't been checking into the forums. Johannes already posted the link. We do not currently have an afternoon group going but feel free to jump on the bus and join us in the area we will keep good notes through twitter to see where we are. I also purchased an Eye-fi card this year and it will do GPS updates when I take pictures and upload them to flickr. So as long as I'm near a wireless hotspot (coffee shops in seattle are everywhere!) you will be able to find me through the Flickr Map on my flickr page. Www.Flickr.com\asylumphoto

Robert I would be happy to give full pics to the review. I will be shooting throughout the whole summit and as long as credit is given I have no problem donating my pictures.

Hope to see you all at the photowalk!

Pat
